Jack O'Neill was a devoted family man that cherished the time he spent with his family. Dedicated and giving are some ways you could describe him. He supported his wife, children, and many grandchildren at their games, competitions or meets throughout his life. Family breakfasts, summers down the shore in Wildwood, or trips to Disney World for family vacations were just a few of his family pleasures.
A proud Army Veteran, Jack served 3 tours of duty in Vietnam. His love and dedication for his country allowed him to continue as a member of the Board of Directors of the Veterans Multipurpose Center. Family and country dedication would have been enough for most men, but his commitment to his community was unmatched by no other.
Jack became a soccer coach at St. Joseph Prep for where he served as an Assistant and Head Coach for over 36 years. In addition to his dedication at Prep, Jack found time to serve as an Assistant and Head Coach at Lighthouse Soccer Club, along with serving on their Board of Directors. He was a proud member of the North Catholic Hall of Fame and was also elected to the EPYSA Hall of Fame for his service. He was also a member of Roofers Local 30 and remained active with the union after his retirement.
Jack O'Neill was an incredible man that gave everything he could to his family, country, and community and now we want to continue his legacy by starting THE JACK ONEILL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP.
In his memory, a scholarship has been established to provide assistance to deserving students who portray the same values that Jack did throughout his life.
